Queenie is our Heart of the Rockies Radio News pet of the week! When 5 month-old Queenie first arrived at Ark-Valley Humane Society, her name was King. Megamouth is our Heart of the Rockies Radio News pet of the week! 2-month-old Megamouth was a kitten brought to Ark-Valley Humane Society from a feral cat colony in Salida of almost 50 cats and kittens. A kind community member has been helping trap these cats and bringing them to our vet partners for spaying/neutering to stabilize the population and vaccinating to support their health. Through transfer partnerships, AVHS has worked with 17 shelters in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Texas, and California.
