After the success of last year’s first ever microchip/pet ID clinic, Ark-Valley Humane Society is excited to be hosting this event again! We had such a wonderful turnout from the public, we decided that we would host TWO clinics in 2025, one in both Buena Vista and Salida. Our hope is that by providing free microchips and pet ID tags, it will help lost pets get reunited with their loving families sooner! Your sponsorship can help us provide more of these vital services to community members.

Ark-Valley Humane Society is excited to present the 8th Annual Tails on the Trail event – A 5K Run/Walk for the animals! This dog and family friendly 5K will be a morning full of fun, catering to families, pet lovers, athletes, and more! Stay for the after party at the Salida SteamPlant following the event!

September 29th-October 12th, 2025
The 10th Annual Feline & Fido Photo Contest is a meaningful way to celebrate your pet while caring for animals at Ark-Valley Humane Society who are waiting for a home of their own. At the end of the photo contest, Ark-Valley Humane Society creates a colorful, full-sized calendar with pets’ photos that received the most votes on each month. Both calendar and photo contest are wonderful ways to celebrate your own pet while saving the lives of homeless pets in need.

- One complimentary copy of the 2026 calendar ($30 value)
