Supporting Homeless Pets Through Art, Heart, and Community
Ark-Valley Humane Society is thrilled to announce the seventh annual Good Pet/Bad Portrait fundraiser—a fan-favorite event that combines creativity, laughter, and compassion for animals in need.
This lighthearted fundraiser invites pet lovers to submit photos of their pets and receive a surprise portrait created by one of our volunteer artists. The twist? You won’t know what kind of artist you’ll get—portraits range from masterful pieces of art to a fun doodle. Every portrait is guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind and made with love.
What Is Good Pet/Bad Portrait?
Good Pet/Bad Portrait is a community fundraiser where your pet’s photo is randomly paired with a volunteer artist from our creative community. Our artists range in age from 5 years-old and up, and each brings their own unique style and imagination to the project.
The result is a fun surprise that celebrates pets, creativity, and the joy of supporting a good cause.
How It Works

Upload a photo of your pet(s) to the link above that will appear on this page during the submission period.
- $25 for a photo featuring one pet

2. Artist Assignment
