Ark-Valley Humane Society’s barn cats are free-roaming/feral cats received through our Trap-Neuter/Spay-Return (TNR) Program that are unable to be re-released to their location of origin due to safety concerns. These cats are seeking a safe, caring barn, ranch, shed, workshop, or other covered outdoor home where their well-being can be supported.
Free-roaming or feral cats are either born and raised outdoors with little to no human contact or are stray cats that have lived outside long enough to return to a wild state. While some may become comfortable around people over time, many prefer limited human interaction and would prefer to stay warm in your barn or workshop, and love you from a distance.
