AVHS Community Challenge

by

Steve and Viva Borbas are challenging the community of Chaffee County to help raise crucial funds for Ark-Valley Humane Society. For every contribution that is donated in the month of July, the Borbas’ will graciously add 25% more to a maximum contribution of $5,000 from them. What that means is if you decide to donate $100 through this challenge to Ark-Valley Humane Society, your donation will actually be $125. These contributions can be given in the name of your pet or a departed loved one. The total will be reported in the Mountain Mail at the end of July.

The Borbas’ are excited about this and hope it is a successful challenge for the animals. “We are so fortunate to have the Ark-Valley Humane Society in our county,” the Borbas’ said, “To have an open-admission animal shelter that helped over 1,200 animals in 2016 is truly amazing!”

Ark-Valley Humane Society is extremely grateful for the support of the community. “We are so humbled by Steve and Viva’s idea to have a community challenge and are so grateful for those partnering with this organization to help homeless pets in Chaffee County and beyond,” says Executive Director, Jonathan McDonell.

All donations can be sent to PO Box 1335, Buena Vista, CO 81211. Please put “AVHS Community Challenge” on the memo line of your check or if you use PayPal, write “AVHS Community Challenge” in the special instructions field so we can track donations.
