I adopted Turnip and Cheetah on December 15th 2013. I had recently lost my 18 year old chocolate point Siamese and I knew that eventually I wanted to adopt two kittens. We are thrilled to have found Casey after a long search for the perfect kitty. We were also extremely impressed with the Ark-Valley operation in Poncha Springs, the friendliness of the staff and the exceptional cleanliness of the facility. We have looked in many places and Ark-Valley is the best! Casey was 7 months old when we adopted him last month. For the first 24 hours, he did not stop purring! He explored every nook and cranny in the house and especially loves the high places. Surprisingly, he loves playing in water......

Hello! We adopted “Sunny” earlier this year. We have renamed him “Nugget” because of his gold coloring and also because we adopted him in Colorado. Hi! We are writing on behalf of our sweet girl Loona (formerly Lola) who we adopted in May 2012. She is a Black & Tan Coonhound and a true Colorado dog. We adopted her after losing one of our doxies to cancer and we needed another big personality in the house. Loona jumped right in to the family as a great fit. Just wanted to let everyone at the shelter know that Spirit and Willow (now Sylvia and Margo) have settled in wonderfully! Here i s a pic of them cuddling on the couch with my dog 🙂 Margo has completely come out of her shell and loves snuggling on a warm lap and even comes out to greet guests. Sylvia is just as outgoing as ever and encourages her sister to approach new people. They are a joy to watch playing together around the house. We think they are the nicest, sweetest kitties......
